The Ultimate Tips And Advice On Conceive

For some couples, it’s all rainbows and butterflies. For others, it’s working hard for the rainbows and butterflies. What are we talking about? Conceive of course.

Trying to conceive can become a “mission impossible: kid nation” to some couples, whilst others took a relatively shorter way in a family way.

In case you don’t yet know which party you belong to, you might want to consider taking some precautions. Therefore, we gathered some tips and advice that might come in handy:

1- Fertility Checks And Tests

Unfortunately, infertility is mistakenly linked to women only. However, the reason behind the delay could sometimes be the man. It is always advised to check fertility in both couples before losing birth controls, and considering starting a family. It’s not just a sperm meeting an egg.

There are 3 common reasons behind infertility: the first is abnormal ovulation or issues with ovulation, a damaged fallopian tube, and a significantly low number of sperms or abnormal sperm production.

2- Health Issues

Some hidden, undiagnosed diseases can cause infertility in both men and women. Such issues can include: hormonal imbalance, sexual transmitted diseases like chlamydia and gonorrhea, febroids, Endometriosis, over or under weight, and pelvic inflammatory disease. Watch out for these, and get them checked before trying to conceive.

3- Ovulation

As cliché as it might sound, women do need to watch out for the best time to get intimate. A woman who’s trying to conceive must know the difference between ovulation and fertility days. Oh yeah, they’re not the same thing.

Ovulation happens when the egg is released, and it survives for only 24 hours. A sperm on the other hand survives for 5 days, therefore, the total number of fertility days is 6, taking into account the ovulation day. You do the math.

Ovulation, in most cases, happens almost 14 days before the next period starts, and it happens once every menstrual cycle.

4- Fertility Diet

For both men and women, it is advised to include vitamin E and zinc-rich foods, such as: seafood, spinach, kidney beans, pumpkin seeds, nuts, peanut butter, eggs, and whole-grain foods. In addition to lots, and lots of water. Avoid alcohol as much as possible as well. You also can never go wrong with green vegetables.

Try to get as much as possible vitamin D from sun exposure. Experts advise to go out in sunlight for about 10 minutes, without sunscreens.
