What Families Miss About Dubai When Leaving

It’s said that “you don’t know what you have until it’s gone.” No statement is truer when you’re living in Dubai; one might get caught up in the rush of life, and forget to appreciate the blessings of this city of gold.

It only takes a 2-week vacation away from Dubai to get that homesick feeling - and for you mums who have just returned to Dubai from a two month break at home - here’s what you've probably missed the most:

1. The service

In our opinion, what makes living in Dubai so comfortable and unique is the stellar service- from the 7-stars hotels (oh yeah, 5-stars hotel are a thing of the past), to the simplest of duties like: a car wash – all you get in the desert city is mutual respect any time, every time.

Not to mention the miracle-like convenience found in Dubai: Drive-thru at Starbucks, online grocery shopping, spa treatments in our houses! One must admit: we are spoiled.

2. The food

The culinary diversity in Dubai is second to none, which only worsens the “What to eat?” dilemma. It’s next to impossible making a decision when the streets are packed with multinational cuisines.

3. Home help and nannies

Not necessarily a live-in helper, but having the luxury of “help” is much needed and appreciated in Dubai. And it will definitely be missed when you leave for a vacation or move out of the country – especially by women.

4. A child-friendly life

The little ones are always welcome and adored almost everywhere in Dubai. From mini adventures to kids’ spa, you never have to worry about your kids spending the times of their lives in the city of Dubai.

5. World records

One must admit residents of Dubai are growing more competitive each year. Whether you’re an expat or an Emirati, every citizen of this city takes credit whenever a new world record is set by Dubai.

6. Ladies nights

You can almost find a ladies’ night every day somewhere in Dubai. Whether it’s a free hookah, free drinks, free entrance to some place, or even much-needed discounts, women are living it up for less in the City of Life.
